MOUNTING
DETAILS OF 68 TYPE GSA ALTERNATOR WITH SINGLE BEARING
The
dimensions of diesel engine's flywheels and its cover use in
gensets should comform
SAE J620d
and SAE
J617c standards. In GSA alternators, the disc mounted to
the engine's flywheel and the adaptor of alternator mounted
to the engine's flywheel cover are design according to these
standards. The SAE standards of engines that will used in genset
should be informed to us while ordering.
If
the SAE number of diesel engine's flywheel and its cover are not
known, please find the SAE numbers of your engine's flywheel and
its cover by comparing the dimensions given in SAE
J620d and SAE
J617c standards.
MOUNTING
DETAILS OF 53 TYPE GSA ALTERNATOR WITH DOUBLE BEARING
In
the gensets with double bearing alternators, the power is
transmited to the alternator's rotor with the coupling
mounted to the end of alternator's shaft. The coupling should be
elastic to minimise combustion of the diesel engine's effect on
the alternator shaft.
At
the
end of the alternator shaft, there is a screw hole according to
DIN 332 standard for mounting or dismounting purposes of the
pulley or the coupling. Mounting of the pulley or the coupling can
be done by placing a mounting apparatus to the screw hole. For
easier mounting, the coupling or the pulley should be machined to
H7 tolerance and heated to 120-150ºC. Avoid any kind of heavy
hammering to prevent the ball bearings from damaging.
If
the Pulley-Belt System is used for transmission in GSA Alternators
which are greater than 50 KVA, special ball bearings must be used.
In certain cases please inform us while ordering.
